Annandale Man O’Sword Refill Ex-Bourbon is a peated single cask whisky at 61% ABV. The previously used bourbon cask brings fruit, spices and vanilla together with the smoky character of Man O’Sword.
Spicy, medicinal smoke, cake-like. This 2016 vintage bottling from Annandale Distillery is matured in a refill ex-bourbon cask (cask 1097) and offers a subtle harmony between cask influence and the distillery's distinctive style. Bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added colourings.
Tasting notes
Nose: stewed apples and pears, spicy spices, soft smoke and vanilla cake batter.
Palate: soft and syrupy, baked orchard fruit, warming spices and a subtle medicinal smoke.
Finish: long and warming with lingering spiciness and sweet oak.
